What is our aim?
Our goal is to analyze and compare the causes of effects of flooding between a LEDC and MEDC based on the flooding events in Bangladesh and Netherlands.
What is Flooding?
A Flood is the overflowing of water covered a land that is not normally covered by water. Usually, a flood occurs when a heavy rainfall submerges the drainage capacity of an area.
There are various causes of flooding, some of these includes steep slopes that causes fast surface runoff, absence of vegetation and forest, and urbanization of drainage basins can have significant effects on the flood. Moreover, flooding may bring about some positive effects to an area, however, the consequences of flooding can also be disastrous, as flooding may damage houses and possessions as well as distorting communication networks.
